James Harper’s will dated 2 August 1839 was probated in Hamilton County, Ohio Probate Court, 7 October 1839.

James Harper will names his 5 daughters, Eliza, Jane, Martha, Sarah and Agnes and his two sons, John and James.  He wills the north division of his property to this eldest son, John and the south division to his youngest child and son, James. 

It appears Eliza is already married and has a home in 1839 since her father does not include her in the division of the furniture upon his wife, Catherine’s death.
