James Harper and his wife, Catherine Harper buried at Union Cemetery aka Stewart Cemetery in Symmes Township, Hamilton County, Ohio. Their daughter, Agnes Harper is buried next to her parents and share the share headstone. Agnes never married.
James and Catherine’s son, James H. Harper and his wife are buried at Union Cemetery also, Section 2, Lot 14, Space 3 (Margaret G. (Baxter) Harper) and Space 4 (James H. Harper).
In the 1850 US Federal Census, we find Catherine Harper with her children, Sarah Harper, Agnes Harper and James H. Harper as widow. Later in 1850, their daughter, Sarah who we believe is our direct ancestor, marries William Cox Irwin and moves from Five Mile Stand, Symmes Township, Hamilton County, Ohio to Deerfield Township, Warren County, Ohio. Sarah (Harper) Irwin is buried with William Cox Irwin at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mason, Warren County, Ohio.
