William H. Butt, William T. Glassford, John Irwin, Ellen White and Richard B. White vs Joel Cook, William B. Brown and Harriett D. Gillespie, Commissioners of the Green Free Turnpike Road, C.W. Randall as auditor of Warren County, Ohio and Martin A. Jameson as Treasure of Warren County, Ohio. This petition was regarding the layout and established a free turnpike road in Franklin Township, Warren County, Ohio and the levy an extra tax of two mills on the dollar valuation on all the lands and taxable property within the bounds of said road. The levy ten mills on the dollar be continued very year for the period of four years. The petitioners ask for any other and further relief in the premises at may be necessary to secure the object and purposes above named, May 20 1880. The petitioners stated that they are not land holders owning land with the bounds of said proposed road and are not assessed as land owners to pay the costs of said road improvements. That there are only 15 land owners who own land within the bounds of said road.

Kate B. Dechant of Butler County, Ohio filed petition against James Irwin of Franklin Township, Warren County, Ohio in Common Pleas Court, Lebanon, Warren County, Ohio on 14 September 1891 stating that James Irwin wrongfully detained from Kate B. Dechant the following good and chattels . Two farm wagons, one McCormick binder, one mower, one drill, one roller, one harrow, one wind mill, one sulky plow, one cider mill and all other plows, harness of every kind and description now located on the piece of said Kate B. Dechant in Butler County, Ohio. Also nineteen head of hogs, all tobacco now growing on said place and shedded on same, all corn now growing on said place and all wheat, which was raised on the place of Fred Dechant and belonged to him. Kate B. Dechant asks judgement against James Irwin for the recovery of said property and for the sum of $600.00 as damages with interest. W.L. Dechant attorney for Kate B. Dechant. On 12 October 1891 the Franklin Township sheriff recovered all of Kate B. Dechant’s property and Kate B. Dechant waived all damages and James Irwin cost expended taxed at $$15.70.

In Court of Common Pleas on 10 April 1855, Jonas T. McKay received an judgment in a civil action against John A. Irwin and Samuel Collins for the sum of $273.76 for the sale of property mortgaged located in corner of Main Street and Franklin Road leading to Oliphant's Mills on the Little Miami in Franklin Township, Warren County, Ohio.

John C. Irwin and his wife, Mary C. Irwin of Warren County, Ohio convey to Thomas H. Irwin of Warren County, Ohio on 3 June 1893 the following property located in Franklin Township, Warren County, Ohio in Section 33, Town 3, Range 4. This property is border by Daniel L. Deardoff, Rebecca Hosea, Thomas Irwin, W.F. Glassford by Blue Ball, Warren County, Ohio. The 150 acres seized by John Irwin was devised by William Hunter to Prudence Irwin found in Record Book B page 107 of the record of Wills of Warren County, Ohio. Also 30 acres of land was devised to Prudence Irwin by Sarah Green found in Record Book E page 24, Warren County, Ohio. Also 39 acre tract of which was conveyed to John Irwin by Mary Robinson by deed found in Volume 32, page 603 in Warren County, Ohio. Also 7 acres deeded to John Irwin by Thomas H. Irwin found in Volume 62 page 317, Warren County, Ohio.

Sarah A. (Hankinson) Irwin will, died 24 October 1931, resident of Franklin Township, Warren County, Ohio. Sarah left no widower and the following named persons her only next of kin. John W. Irwin, son who is Captain in U.S. Army, present stationed at Ft. Monmouth, Oceanport, New Jersey.

William Hankinson testifies that the allegations in the application for probate are true as he verily believes. H. J. Death and P.H. Rue attached to said Will, testify in writing of the last will and testament of Sarah A. Irwin was duly executed and attested; and that she was of sound mind and memory, and any restraints. 

Sarah A. Irwin mentions her parents, Hannah J. Hankinson and William C. Hankinson.   She signed her will 28 April 1909.

Estate of Oliver P. Irwin, deceased, died August 1879, late resident of Franklin Township, Warren County, Ohio. On 14 January 1887, John Irwin from Blue Ball, Ohio produced in open court for admission to probate and record a paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Oliver P. Irwin. John stated that Oliver left no widow and he is his brother and only next of kin residing in State of Ohio. In Oliver P. Irwin’s will he first states that all of just debts and funeral expenses be paid. Second, he will and bequeath to his sister, Martha Irwin all my half of 77 acres of land in Range 4 Town 2, Section 9 in Lemon Township, Butler County, Ohio and also all my personal effects. In testimony thereof I have set my hand and seal this 14 August 1879.
