Kate B. Dechant of Butler County, Ohio filed petition against James Irwin of Franklin Township, Warren County, Ohio in Common Pleas Court, Lebanon, Warren County, Ohio on 14 September 1891 stating that James Irwin wrongfully detained from Kate B. Dechant the following good and chattels . Two farm wagons, one McCormick binder, one mower, one drill, one roller, one harrow, one wind mill, one sulky plow, one cider mill and all other plows, harness of every kind and description now located on the piece of said Kate B. Dechant in Butler County, Ohio. Also nineteen head of hogs, all tobacco now growing on said place and shedded on same, all corn now growing on said place and all wheat, which was raised on the place of Fred Dechant and belonged to him. Kate B. Dechant asks judgement against James Irwin for the recovery of said property and for the sum of $600.00 as damages with interest. W.L. Dechant attorney for Kate B. Dechant. On 12 October 1891 the Franklin Township sheriff recovered all of Kate B. Dechant’s property and Kate B. Dechant waived all damages and James Irwin cost expended taxed at $$15.70.
