On 2 October 1834, Isaac Vanleer and his wife, Elizabeth Vanleer of Warren County, Ohio sells part of Lot 1 in Range 2, Township 4, Section 33 (South West corner of Section – containing one acre) in the Miami Purchase to James Irwin of Butler County, Ohio for $200.00. Witness by James Baxter, Justice of the Peace and Joel P Enyart. Recorded in the Recorder's Office of Warren County, Ohio, Vol. 19, pages 453 and 454. There was mortgage on this property when purchased and James Irwin paid off the mortgage on 25 April 1836.
On 16 September 1876, John L Day and his wife, Carrie Day of Lee County, Iowa, and William A. Spruance and his wife, Frances O. Spruance of Clark County, Missouri, and William G. Kramer and his wife, Mary E. Kramer of Montour County, Pennsylvania sold 160 acres in Range 2, Township 4, Section 34 (South East of section) in the Miami Purchase to William Cox Irwin of Warren County, Ohio for $2,344.00. On the East of Section 34 is his father, Robert Irwin's land in Section 27 that was deeded to him by David Mizner through John Hopkins as Sheriff of Warren County, Ohio on 2 September 1826. William Cox Irwin land is recorded in Recorder’s Office of Warren County, Ohio, Vol. 54, pages 272 and 273.
