His father,William Henry Harrison wished him to continue at Transylvania College,but he soon was back studying law in Cincinnati. William Harrison began drinking too hard. Dr. Benjamin Harrison had contracted the same habit. William and Jane Irwin were married and living in Cincinnati,where Jane was very happy. Her husband,William Harrison habits made it seem best that they come to the country,where they were given a farm “across the creek” from The Cabin,home of William’s parents William Henry and Anna Harrison. William Henry Harrison was grieved by William’s weakness. William Henry Harrison only loyal son,Scott Harrison and built him a fine home at The Point. After the death of his first wife,Scott Harrison married a sister of his brother,William’s wife,Elizabeth Irwin. The first few of their children were born at The Cabin,one of these was Benjamin Harrison,destined to be the President of United States,as had been his illustrious grandfather.
