James Irwin and his wife, Nancy aka Agnes Irwin of Butler County, Ohio conveyed to David Mizner of Warren County, Ohio a parcel of land located in South West corner of Section 27, Township 4, entire Range 2 in the Miami purchase containing 50 acres bounded on the South by the lands of (his grandson, William Cox Irwin’s father in-law), James Baxter, on the East by lands of his son in-law (Jane’s husband), Jonathan Whitacre and on the North by the lands of his son, Robert Irwin and by the West by Mary Hunt, late Mary Slayback on 14 March 1822. This transaction was witness by his two son in-laws, John Lowes (Mary’s husband) and Jonathan Whitacre (Jane’s husband). John Lowes was justice of the peace and he testified that James Irwin and Agnes (aka Nancy) Irwin came personal to him and acknowledged to him that they sold this parcel of land to David Mizner on 19 March 1822.
