We think that James Irwin came from Mifflintown, Pennsylvania and may have got to this church.

Westminster/ Mifflintown Presbyterian Church, Mifflintown, PA

According to our records, the Mifflintown and Lost Creek congregations in the Presbytery of Huntingdon were originally one church known as the Cedar Spring (sometimes Springs) Presbyterian Church in Mifflintown, Pennsylvania. This church dates back to 1759. In 1800, the congregation expanded into two buildings about 8 miles apart to house its growing congregation.
The Lost Creek Presbyterian Church was organized in the town of McAlisterville, PA, while the Mifflintown Presbyterian Church remained in Mifflintown. The congregation was run as one church, sharing a minister and was listed in the General Assembly Minutes of the Presbyterian Church in the United States of America as the Mifflintown and Lost Creek Presbyterian Church. In 1875, the congregations split. While the Lost Creek Church still goes by that name, the
Mifflintown Presbyterian Church changed names to Westminster Presbyterian Church.

A search of our catalogs show the following records which contain genealogical
