The sundry inhabitants petitioned the court for a public road leading from the summit of the Tusinora Mountains at or near the head of the Run gap, from there to Robert Gorrells on Juniata at the lower end of the Long Narrows.  They asked the court to appoint men to view and see if road could be laid out in the April Session 1775. William Irwin was appointed to view and see if road could be laid out.
