William and Nancy Irwin parents of James Irwin, born in Lack Twp., Cumberland County, PA on 16 Oct. 1758 and died on 10 February 1847 in Butler County, Ohio.

James Irwin - Revolutionary War Veteran, served as private in
1777 under Captain William Graham and General Potters Brigade of the 4th Battalion, 2nd Company of Milford Township, Cumberland County, PA militia on the frontier against the British.
1778 under Captain David Boal or Boles of the 7th Battalion, 2nd Company of Milford Township, Cumberland County, PA militia against the Indians at “Standing Stone Valley“. 
1780 under Captain David Boal of the 7th Battalion, 2nd Company of Milford Township, Cumberland County, PA militia against the Indians at Kishacoquillas Valley. 

James Irwin marries Nancy (Agnes)  on February 2, 1786 in Cumberland County, PA.

James Irwin is Presbyterian.
