Our primary focus is to remove duplicated genealogical effort. We seek to create an open platform to bring all resources together and help enhance New FamilySearch with our feature-rich toolset. Beyond that we hope to help people to utilize the data they already have. Just because you have a date attached to a name, doesn't mean you're done researching that individual. We simply ask you to prove the dates you record for your ancestor. If you have a birth certificate, upload a scan. If you have a video, attach that as well. Our hope is that everyone working together can be more beneficial and much more work can be accomplished with the records that are right at our fingertips.
