Albert Hunter Irwin Obituary

Albert Hunter Irwin, son of John C. and Mary Cathryn Irwin, was born near Blue Ball, Ohio on November 14, 1870, and departed this life, Saturday evening August 19, 1922. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth M. Carr, December 27, 1893 and to this union was born one son, Fred Finley Irwin.  The wife and son survive the departure of the husband and father.  One sister, Mrs. Otto Urschel, and two nieces, Mrs. Lowell Lephart and Blanche Urschel, of Greenville, Ohio, three aunts and four uncles, and many other relatives and friends. Mr. Irwin was well and favorably known both in this city and in Middletown, where he has lived for the past few years.  For six years he had been with the Cappel Furniture store, in Middletown.  A good workman, industrious, loved his home and took pride in it.  He was in the prime of life, seeming vigorous and full of health, and when he was stricken with paralysis a week before his death, it caused a great shock among the large circle of his friends.  When 16 years old he was received into the membership of the Blue Ball Presbyterian church and afterwards certified to the Presbyterian church of Franklin.  At the time of his death he was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Middletown.  The little home is sadden by the untimely death of a kind husband and father and the sympathy of a wide circle of acquaintances goes out to the brave mother and son in their hour of bereavement.  Some months ago these words given the writer:  “Those who are gone you have.  Those who departed loving you, love still; and you love them always. They are not really gone, those dear hearts, those dear hearts and true, they are only gone in the next room, and you will presently get up and follow them.”
